These are safe preliminary checks only. Stop if you smell burning, see exposed wiring, find rapidly rising water or feel unsafe.
The Customer Interface Unit, or CIU, communicates with the prepaid meter through the apartment's electrical wiring. Leaving it unplugged for an extended period can cause it to lose contact with the meter.

If SUCCESS does not appear, recheck the batteries, plug, socket, cable and DB breakers. If it still will not connect, report your unit number, meter number and the message displayed by the CIU.
Living at Chapel Towers
Undue noise must stop by 22:00, or 23:00 on Fridays and Saturdays. Power-tool work is limited to the approved working hours.
Written trustee approval is required. Pets must not disturb others and must be controlled on common property.
Moves are permitted weekdays from 08:00–16:00 and Saturdays from 08:00–12:00. No Sunday moves are permitted.
Close security doors and gates. Residents are responsible for the conduct of their visitors, employees and contractors.
Do not throw or sweep objects or liquids from balconies. Balcony braais and bicycle storage are not permitted.
Written trustee approval is required before renovations or work affecting common property or the building exterior.
Foyers, passages, lifts and other indoor common areas are non-smoking areas. Do not tamper with fire equipment.
Bag refuse securely and keep passages, stairs, landings and other common areas clear.
